That's really horrible that you moved your senior year. I can't even start to imagine.
1/30/05 8:17 (UTC) - Yeah, when I graduated high school..
..it was like beign set free from fucking JAIL. I couldn't wait to escape, & when I finally did, I was so acutely relieved. I remember breaking out into this weird, heavy sweat on the front steps of the church where the ceremony was held.

Ugh! *shiver*

Senior year was not the worst for me, I think that was sophomore year. But I feel your previous pain, fellow book geek!

I met you soon after this at the radio station WUMD.

I moved my senior year as well. However nothing could have possibly been worse than the school environment I moved FROM, so I got one year to NOT be the Scrawny Glasses-Wearing Flat-Chested Nerd That Everyone Makes Fun Of, instead I was the Freaky Chick That No One Knows What To Make Of. It was much more enjoyable.

*Hugs* But yeah, whoever said that high school is the best time of your life is full of shit!

There are two types of people:

1) Those for whom high school was the highlight of their life, and everything from there is downhill.

2) Those for whom h.s. graduation was the start of their life.

I am proud that I fall into the second category.

i'll agree there, however for me i was still taking painful baby steps the first few years in college (until i moved to baltimore and wound up in an urban environment where i could be myself more easily)

Middle school was hell for me, as I went to a different school every year. I just moved to the U.S and didn't know English. I was made fun of because 1) was Asian (that in itself was uncool) 2) was an ESOL student, that was socially considered below the rank of an average student, and wouldn't understand it if they called me stupid 3) I dress only hand-me-downs cloths that make me look like I was still in the late 70s (not even 80s or early 90s hehhe).

I enjoyed high school much more because by then, I understand the culture a bit better, and I found art.
