as several other people mentioned even if the presidency is seemingly wrapped up by the time later west-coasters will be voting it is extremely important to vote anyway - local and state elections still matter (for instance in CA prop 8) and the early returns may not be accurate or votes will be challenged after the polls close - so once again...
