Honestly, I'm not dying...

Had a really weird experience yesterday, another friend I don't see often thought I had cancer and was dying. I've heard this from several people both before and after I shaved my head; I have no idea where the ?rumor? came from but it's not true.

I do not have cancer; I have Hashimoto's disease and a whole host of other broken. The Hashimoto's attacks the endocrine system including in some cases your thymus gland. That makes your hair fall out, which is why I went bald ~ 6 months ago. A mohawk doesn't work when patches are missing.

So don't worry about me having cancer please. I love you all and I don't get to see most of you often enough, but I'm broken - not running out of time just yet. If you want to know how I'm feeling on any given day, pay attention to my 1 thing: twitter posts (I'm @alumiere, and that also feeds into my failbook) - P/N = pain/numbness, W=weight, En=energy. I post there most days unless I'm really out of it, and even if I don't post there's nothing new wrong.
